On 24 February 2022, the Ministry of Commerce issued Prakas No. 0064 on Requirements for Cosmetics Distribution (the “Prakas”). The Prakas sets out the requirements for any cosmetic traders (being an individual/legal entity that supplies cosmetic products by wholesaling, retailing, and offering as gift or for testing) aims to ensure that cosmetic products that are legally distributed in Cambodia market are of good quality, safe and harmless to consumers and have proper labels.
The MOC and MPTC jointly issued a Notification to inform all companies that pursuant to Article 7 of the Law on the Commercial Enterprises on the filing of ADCE and Article 7 of the Sub-Decree No. 287 dated 31 December 2021 on the Management and Use of the National Domain Name
On 01 March 2022, the Ministry of Commerce issued Prakas No. 0067 on Unfair Contractual Clause (the “Prakas”). This Prakas was issued pursuant to the Cambodian Law on Consumer Protection promulgated on 02 November 2019 (the “Consumer Protection Law”). This Prakas provides further clarity regarding unfair contractual clauses in standard form contracts with consumers.
