Mr. Hak is an experienced litigator and has been a practicing attorney since 1997. Early in his career, Mr. Hak served four years as a court clerk before moving on to private practice.
In 2005, he co-founded HBS Law, where he continues to serve as Chairman and Head of the Civil Litigation, Criminal Litigation, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Practice Groups. Over more than two decades in private practice, Mr. Hak has successfully handled complex civil and criminal cases at all levels of the Cambodian judiciary including before the Supreme Court, as well as successfully concluded various commercial arbitration matters.
In addition to his private practice achievements, Mr. Hak has worked extensively to uphold and improve the legal profession in Cambodia. From 2006, Mr. Hak was elected by his peers to three different mandates as a member of the Bar Council of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia responsible for overall management of the legal profession. Prior to this, he served as a member of the Inspection Team of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Mr. Hak obtained a Master Degree of Laws and a Bachelor Degree of Laws from the Royal University of Law and Economics in Cambodia.
